Turning Plastic Waste into 3-D Printed Parts on the Battlefield
Researchers are developing a mobile recycling center that will allow Soldiers to create 3-D printer filament from plastic waste generated in the field. The goal is to reduce the logistic burden on Soldiers, by giving them the ability to create filament and 3-D print important replacement parts in the field.
